About the Lampasas Livestock Show and its Organizations

Our Agricultural Community

Lampasas is surrounded by agriculture, and The Lampasas Livestock Show has been a historical event that continues to be a staple in our town’s major annual events. Our youth look forward to it every year, as not only a traditional experience but also a learning experience that provides both knowledge of the agriculture industry, and also social development and team building among peers.

The Lampasas County Livestock Association board members along with a dedicated community, individual volunteers, local and visiting businesses contribute their experience and time each year to ensure the importance and quality of the Show each year to provide a valuable experience to our youth.

LADIES AUXILIARY

What is the purpose of the Ladies Auxiliary?

The main purpose of the Ladies Auxiliary is to award scholarships to Lampasas and Lometa graduating seniors who are involved in 4-H and FFA. We also organize and prepare the Buyers Appreciation Dinner each year, organize and run the concession stand at the county show, help with the annual reverse raffle and much more! Where does the money for the scholarships come from? The scholarship funds are raised each year primarily through sales at the concession stand during the LCYLA stock show, as well as various other fundraising efforts.
